Shutdown wait period

While shutting down the system from the start menu (Plasma desktop) , the system shows message 'your system is going to be shutdown' and there is about 2-3 minutes wait time. This is the same message we get when we run the shutdown command from console.
How to make the system shutdown immediately without waiting when shutting from GUI.

See messages in the journal to tell, what is blocking the shutdown.

In that case

How to make the system shutdown immediately without waiting when shutting from GUI.

- Log out of KDE first, then shutdown from SDDM.
- Don't use plasma.

Alternatively use something other than SDDM or install sddm-git where the issue is fixed.
