Hello,
I have a problem now since a few months (it doesn't bother me in the start, but now it's annoying).
In chromium-based browsers I have a huge black border around file completion matches, see:
I tried to start the browser with GTK_DEBUG=interactive, but it does not help because the inspector doesn't recordnize the dialog. I tried this, because I thought would be a simple way to change this via css.
I only have this problem on the save-dialog in chromium-based browsers (tested with chromium and chrome-stable).
It is WM independent (testet with xface and awesome).
GTK Theme is Adwaita, but I don't think it's a problem with the theme, becausse other GTK appliactions (like evince or gimo) with file dialogs does not have this black browser.
A forum/google search with "black borders" does not help, because I get mostly results with black border around applications, which is not my problem.
So can anyone help?
Thanks,
easy.

Looks like a shadow (try to run a compositor, though xfwm4 should run one by default) what would mean
a) it's adwaita
b) the browser or gtk believe there's a compositor
COuld be a flatschpak problem, https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 4#p1954864

Well I do not use a compsitor, due to the "old" GPU (Its a Geforce GT 640 with 470xx drivers) and I use it with 3 monitors.
Shouldn't then the borders not to be displayed?
But after I finished my daily todo I'll try it with a compositor to test it.
Also I do not use "flatschpak" chromium is from extra and chrome from aur.

nb. that if any xdg-desktop-portal* stuff is installed it'll get in the way, whether chromium is a flatschpak or not.
