I am getting a Desktop machine again and will implement an Arch installation on a separate SSD.
Just wondering - is there anything to consider in terms of SSD - specific to (Arch) Linux? I was thinking the likes of hardware encryption and so forth.
If not I was planning to get a Samsung 980 Pro.

Not really no, most special considerations were for old SSDs. Handle the device like you would any other

There's an entire page of the wiki dedicated to this subject...
https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Solid_state_drive
Which part of it are you having trouble understanding?

I found this confirmation useful and added it with a minor edit to the wiki page.

Well, my additional sentence added to the wiki lasted only some hours. But I tried.
