I've built the most recently version of Blender 3.4 from multiple different locations (AUR, GitHub, etc.) to try to figure out the following problem. The program fires up in GNOME and I'm able to use it, though I am unable to use the control key to prefix anything. Pressing CTRL + S, for example, gives the same effect as pressing S.
If I install Blender directly through pacman (sudo pacman -S blender), I get an earlier version of Blender (3.3), but I am still unable to use the control key. If I compile Blender locally on my machine (AUR or git.blender.org), I get the most recent version of Blender 3.4, no control key, and as an added bonus, the topbar of the window appears unlike any of the topbars I've seen so far. The Blender icon is also not present if I compile it locally.
I'm a newbie to the world of Linux and, more specifically, to Arch, so this may be more a problem understanding some other fundamental point (maybe the desktop environment? maybe something specific to Arch?) This issue is, however, completely new as up until a few days ago, I had no problems working in a previous install of Blender 3.4 that I had compiled. Any help would be much appreciated.
