How do I intentionally boot into the terminal?

After figuring out you needed to downgrade the greeter for it to work, I need to access the terminal to do it. I’ve installed GNOME and Pantheon. (I have installed GNOME via archinstall)
How do I boot to terminal to downgrade my greeter?

Simply switch to a different tty: (Ctrl)-Alt-F2/F3/F4/etc...

You don't need to boot into another run level to access a TTY. Just press Crel+Alt+F<3-9> to access a TTY.

In case that fails because the greeter insists on restarting, see the 2nd link below.

Never mind, I didn't know about TTYs and how to switch between them. Thanks!
