Super+anykey not detected when setxkbmap to non-latin layout

In dwm and i3, run

setxkbmap ara,us

.

Ctrl+anykey and Alt+anykey both work with a fallback to English keys. Super+anykey doesn't. E.g: Super+{h,j,k,l} won't work.
