pulseaudio-equalizer-ladspa does not have any effect on the sound

pulseaudio-equalizer-ladspa package does not have any effect on the sound. I have not tested this on any media player than a web browser (firefox playing youtube video), so I can not attest to other media players such as mplayer, vlc, etc. Are there any caveat to using an audio equalizer?

What did you configure? It's not just going to have an effect by installing it, you need to configure it and move applications to an equalized sink. https://github.com/pulseaudio-equalizer … /equalizer

Firefox in general is bad test for these because firefox's pulse integration is unnecessarily stringent, and to have "normal" usecases covered properly you'd need to configure the equalizer sink as default.

If you believe to have configured things correctly what's your output of

pactl list sinks
pactl list sink-inputs

?

Thank you for your reply. No I did not configure anything. I thought it would work just out of the box lol. I do not know how to configure this. Are there any documentation for this? Even in the github link that you gave me, there arn't any configuration related content.
