I have no idea... Can you check the mediawiki documentation?
Thanks,

I've searched MediaWiki's documentation and FAQ but didn't find a solution. So I think only editing some .php file will help.

Is there a way to override alphabetical sorting on a category page?
Why though? It does serve a purpose.

You can always go ahead and edit the Category page directly. But that destroys the automatic mechanism of wikimedia to add an article in the category listing it has been marked to belong to.

Sometimes, it is better to avoid all those A, B, C headers for a cleaner layout. This is especially true for main categories, such as the [Language] root category for a language, and 2 levels below that.
Anyway, I agree that alphabetical list doesn't hurt anyone, so I'll just edit the category page, add appropriate categories, and the alpha list will stay below it.
Is it ture that we can't make links to category pages?! I just tried to do so, and failed miserably. For example, linking to [System Administration (English)] just opens up a new page called "System Administration (English)" instead of the category page...

No, that's not it. That just places a page into "System Administration (English)" category. I want to link to category from texts. Like, please see "System Administration (English)" category.

Thanks. Both to meta.wikimedia.org, and byte.
(Rant:) A colon at the beginning... how intuitive.
