Display Issues using nvidia drivers, troubleshooting path help request

Hello, I have a problem that I've always faced in different ways on integrated graphics or nvidia drivers, I'm currently using nvidia drivers because of some compaitibility and performance issues I've encountered in wine. I'm currently using an EVGA RTX 2070.

So I use my monitors for a different computer at my desk for work, and when I use the KVM switch to switch back and forth, lately the second monitor to be switched to on, for my arch linux kde machine, won't display anything. When I open KDE system settings, and head to display and monitor, it sees the monitor in the "Select your monitor" drop down, if I select it, and checkmark the box to enable it, I have a 50/50 chance of the screen working, versus the screen remaining black. When it remains black, I relaunch system settings, and follow the same steps, and it typically will resolve it if not the first time, but the second time. I've also frequenty run into issues with monitors not saving their setups. I want both monitors to have the same set up of; a auto-hide bottom positioned panel with an icons-only-taskmanager, and a top positioned panel with application dash board, global menu, configured minimal system tray, and the digital clock. Often, in the past, switching back and forth would cause these changes to disappear, it was if new monitors were being created. If I recreated the panels everytime, which I slowly did over time, it would take more kvm switching to cause them to disappear. Eventually, it would build up, and when right clicking the desktop, the option to create a panel was grayed out. Restarting was the only resolution for that behavior, which has disappeared as far as I can tell.
I know I could give you a lot more info, I don't know what logs are worth checking, I don't know what all is interconnected, but I'll pastebin anything requested of me.

I don't see my issue mentioned in that thread, but my xorg directory looks like this, so I don't think there's anything for me to do with xorg since I'm using nvidia, not intel, I was previously though.

I don't see how I'd disable powersaving features, I don't have nvidia-settings installed.

Create the file /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/21-DPMS-disable.conf with:

Section "ServerFlags"
    Option "NoPM" "true"
EndSection

Section "Extensions"
    Option      "DPMS" "Disable"

Okay, I've done that, I won't know for potentially a few days, I don't use that mac until Saturday, so I won't use the kvm for a couple days unless I pretend to connect to the mac when I go to bed for the night, walk away from desktop, etc. Do I need to restart anything for that file to "do things"

Restart Xorg or you Session / Displaymanager.

Disabling DPMS will likely not help since the outputs will likely unregister due to the KVM.
Try to disable the kscreen daemon in "kcmshell5 kded" to prevent it from auto-reconfiguring the outputs when changing them.

Alternatively post the output of "xrandr -q" when the output is missing and try to

xrandr --output <name of the missing output here> --auto

instead of the systemsettings GUI
