Hello,
I've found some posts from people having a similar problem so here is what I've checked/done before posting
- Delete cache/data
- Tried with a fresh profile
- Tried reinstalling Firefox
- Here is the output of
loginctl$ loginctl
SESSION UID USER SEAT TTY
1 1000 syco seat0 tty1
1 sessions listed.- I'm using i3 and run startx to start the graphical session.
-Checked network configuration
- I made sure I had no xdg-desktop-portal-* installed
- Tried to run Firefox with strace, however, I do not have any idea on how to interpret the output
I also noticed the freeze was occurring at the first time I right clicked on Firefox.
Thnaks for any help!

Welcome to the forums.
Check/post the journal to see what is happening when you launch firefox. Or try starting firefox from the command line so you can see messages it generates easily. You could also try creating a new user account and see if the behaviour is duplicated there. That would help to determine if it is something in your home or elsewhere causing the problem.

Please post your xinitrc and see the last link below.
30s eerily sounds like 25s - the default dbus timeout.

Also noticed that I had trouble with video playback, no matter which browser I was using
After further investigation, I found that pipweire was surprisingly the culprit
I don't remember switching from pulse to pipewire, so went back to pulse and everything is back to normal, thanks for your help and have a great day!
