Getting segmentation faults everywhere with app crashes

After my system corrupted (https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=280475), I reinstalled the OS after I backed up some files and folders. But now there are still many problems like Firefox crashes the instant I start it, but gets fixed after I restart one or more times, then crashes again. Same problems come up with Spotify and Signal.

Is it because the corruption spread from the backed up files?
Is it possible to get everything working again?
Do I have to buy a new hard drive?

Re: Getting segmentation faults everywhere with app crashes

What does smartctl -a output for the drive?

Which files did you replace from the backed up files? Whether crashes in Firefox, say, are due to that earlier corruption will depend on whether you used relevant backed up files and, if so, whether they were corrupted.

If you make a new user account, do you experience problems there?

This is not a good sign at all - you lost some sectors.
Your last test is 387h ago - if you have backups of all valuable data, run https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Badblocks to see how bad things are
(the non-destructive mode will take considerably longer than the destructive, but will not erase your data. It might still expose some data loss)
