Font rendering messed up after last updates

Hi,

I just updated my Arch linux system to the latest state and now inside KDE the Font-Rendering is completely messed up on red colors.
Anyone got an idea what is goind wrong here? I tried different settings for Fonts  but the problem remains no matter what Font I use and
also enabling or disabling subpixel hinting is not relly change the messed up rendering.

Both those links give a "410 Gone" error, can you upload them somewhere else ?

If you start a simple WM (like openbox or twm) and start konsole / kate , do they show the same issue ?

Oops. Images should work now. I started Kate in openbox, but font-rendering remains pretty much the same.

Can you actually see the problem on the images you posted from a different device?
Or explain what you consider "completely messed up"?
Looks like the Nord-palette, but other than that?

Indeed. I just opened the screenshots on another device and the text looks fine there.
In my computer screen the text is really distorted and has very weird pixels on the edge of each character.

X11 or wayland display server?

Try to suspend the compositor (SHIFT+Alt+F12) and in case of X11, post the output of "xrandr -q" and your xorg log, https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Xorg#General

Compositing does not affect the problem. It stays the same without compositing.

That can't be the entirety of that file, or you have more up to date info in ~/.local/share/xorg/Xorg.0.log.  That log lacks all the graphics/screen setup information

FWIW to address the elephant in the room. If you have xf86-video-intel installed try removing it, it is known to cause issues like what you described.

You're running on the nvidia chip (reverse prime) - is the result better w/ the IGP (and on the internal display)?

I am usuing a Laptop with 2 GPUs. There is an internal Intel CPU and an discrete Nvidia GPU (Optimus), so I actually need both drivers.

Not relevant insofar as you're using nvidia, but xf86-video-intel is known to cause problems on recent and moderately recent Intel chips. Falling back to the built-in stuff typically works better.
