[INSTALLATION] SSH auto-enabled by default on ArchISO... Why not?

Just wondering why SSH isn't enabled by default when booting the Installation Medium.
Is it because this could lead to some Security concerns? ... Is it somewhat related to root password being empty?

I tried looking for Topics here on the Forum, but i got too many results.

Enlighten me please!

However, as you stated it's configured to not use passwordless logins. This can be overcome either by running passwd on the target machine or by passing the relevant cloud-init files to the installer. For more information read...

Stupid question now: why bothering with all of the above, instead of simply setting a password for the root user by default? What would be the downside? Are there any bad consequences in doing that?
