I'm attempting to install Arch from a live usb, and I'm reusing my unused Ubuntu partition and a shared /home partition.
The archinstall command runs fine (although on the first run it crashes when opening the drives tab with an error relating to my usb /dev/sda, probably irrelevant) and I mark my home partition to mount to /home, and marked the Ubuntu partition to be formatted, bootable, btrfs, and mount to /. I didn't edit any other of my partitions or set a mount point for anything else.
During installation archinstall gets stuck in a loop of
Could not find [uuid]/None in disk after 5 retries
followed by a list of all partitions, none with the matching uuid and with the Ubuntu and following (/dev/nvme0n1p10 onwards) missing.
Booting back into Fedora (which is sharing the home partition) I can see that the Ubuntu partition is now formatted (although has 2 gigs used up), is marked as bootable, is btrfs and has a new uuid (probably why archinstall couldn't find it).
I did this a couple times with the same outcome and i'm certain it's an error on my part lmao
What's the right way to reuse my existing partitions?

The October archinstall script had issues with partitioning. I don't know if it would affect using existing partitions or if there's a new version which avoids the issue.
See https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 0#p2061190 for a workaround and please post issues concerning the guided installer in the dedicated section of the forums.

I don't think this issue is what I'm facing - I could install using the iso fine in a virtual machine.

Oh I didn't see that, should I delete this and reupload to the right section?

The rule is to 'Report' the thread asking a moderator to move it. I already did that, so it will probably get moved before long. The maintainer of archinstall looks at that forum specifically, so your issue will get seen by the expert.
Edit: I think you're right you're not facing that issue, which is supposed to be fixed anyway.
