Ventoy + archiso - copy files from live usb when booted from the iso

Using ventoy, it is possible to simply drop the iso file in the directory and boot from there. I put the archiso file and some configuration files in the directory, which will be needed when using the live system.

I need to access the said configuration files and so I'm trying to mount it. The problem is that when I try to do that, the output says that the device has already been mounted. But mount and findmnt don't seem to show any mountpoint corresponding to the live usb.

It seems mounting is not the right thing to do here, how do I access the files?

You'd better re-partition / re-organize partitions of the USB drive: https://www.ventoy.net/en/doc_disk_layout_gpt.html (have a look at Reserved Disk Space)

Re: Ventoy + archiso - copy files from live usb when booted from the iso

In the Ventoy FAQ this situation is mentioned:

How to mount the ISO partition in Linux after boot ?

By default, the ISO partition can not be mounted after boot Linux (will show device busy when you mount).
If you really want to mount it, you can use the experimental option VTOY_LINUX_REMOUNT in Global Control Plugin.

Solution :  run the VentoyPlugson.exe from ventoy distributed zip, plugin the USB, find VTOY_LINUX_REMOUNT and choose 1.
