I have an issue with strange GRUB artifacts like those shown in this video: https://imgur.com/a/PmgvMCl
These artifacts aren't shown always. Sometimes GRUB menu screen looks normal. I can boot the system normally of course regardless of if these artifacts appear or don't appear Before the GRUB menu loads, the "GRUB" text is garbled. Sneezing ceases when graphics drivers are loaded after initramfs boots and GPU drivers are loaded.
This problem also occurs on other bootloaders like syslinux and on the live CDs, and other Linux distros like Debian
I have installed Arch in legacy bios mode, let me know if switching to UEFI (what I'm planning soon) could resolve this issue
My laptop has two GPUs, Intel UHD Graphics 630 and the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 Mobile, not sure if it does matter.
May it be a firmware issue? I've upgraded BIOS recently.

Might be firmware bug. If you disable Intel card in bios do you still see it? Are you seeing it in bios?

I haven't the option to disable Intel GPU in BIOS. I have UEFI firmware with old BIOS interface. In BIOS there's no snowing. Do you think switching to UEFI could make any difference?

Do you also see artifacts when you switch to other virtual terminals by Ctrl+Alt+Fn, where n=1...6 ?

Check your supported resolutions in grub by 'vbeinfo' or 'videoinfo' and when your system is up by 'sudo hwinfo --framebuffer'.
I don't know if option GRUB_GFXMODE will work in /etc/default/grub but you may try.
Also there is grub-customizer package.
About switching to UEFI: I don't know if it may something change.
