X11 can't detect right click button when using berrywm

Discovered this while using

xev -event mouse

, X11 does detect button1 (left click), button2 (Middle click), Button8 (extra mouse button) and Button9 (another extra mouse button), but it does not detect button3, the right click. I noticed this issue on BerryWM, a tiny wm for x11, and it seems that on AwesomeWM the right button works fine! Even on Wayland (GNOME) it works, so i really don't understand this situation sad.

Ask me anything that could help you solve this issue, such as specific config files or things like that.

Does it still work on Gnome?

It could just be a hardware issue (a broken button).

No, it didn't "fix" anything. It just shifted the brokeness one space to the right. - jasonwryan

Try "sudo libinput debug-events" or "sudo evtest" and see whether the button generates events there.

Okay so, messing around i found that enabling SXHKD with Xprofile basically erases "button3" from existence

Because you bound it to some action?
