The only good looking fonts I'm getting is with FREETYPE_PROPERTIES=truetype:interpreter-version=35 and hintstyle set to hintfull.
My Arch is fairly standard, no font related packages from AUR for ex. Running KDE/Plasma (but I've also tried Sway 1.0-git), using Firefox, konsole, communi-desktop and other KDE apps.
The standard interpreter (40) makes the letters kind of bulky. Am I doing something wrong?
ps.
I'm mostly using DejaVu Sans fonts, wherever it's configurable
on a FHD 14" screen

Unless they were ahead of their time, this could hardly be the problem they were experiencing.

The topic is still relevant, no idea why I need to SPAM-create new threads to add my voice. If anything that will make searching for relevant information harder as it will be thinly spread between topics separated by vast amounts of time.
