[SOLVED] Grub boots into bios by default after edit of grub config

Hello guys, I have a dual booted system of Arch and windows 11. Everything was working fine until I changed the GRUB_TIMEOUT to 0 because I don't need windows for sometime now and ran the mkconfig command. After rebooting, grub displayed for a second on the top left corner of the screen and then the system boots into BIOS.

I tried changing back the config file by booting in a live environment and chroot to the root partition. Changed and ran the mkconfig command but to no avail.

If you guys need any logs or anything do tell.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Re: [SOLVED] Grub boots into bios by default after edit of grub config

Reinstall the actual grub payload with the appropriate grub-install command you used originally. There have been a few changes in the GRUB config format in the last few releases that mandate you also update GRUB itself with grub-install if you intended to generate a new config: https://archlinux.org/news/grub-bootloa … ibilities/

Thank you. Thank you. It worked. I can now use my system and edited the grub file to not show menu.
