GNOME Shell extensions via browser not working.

I'm trying to install GNOME extensions via browser (Google Chrome) but I keep getting the same error:

Although GNOME Shell integration extension is running, native host connector is not detected. Refer documentation for instructions about installing connector.

The documentation simply refers me to the AUR package 'gnome-browser-connector', which I've installed properly (already tried re-building it).
The Chrome browser extension is also properly added.

I tried Firefox too, with the same issue but a different error:

No such native application org.gnome.chrome_gnome_shell
