Belkin Thunderbolt 3 Express dock connecting and disconnecting

Recently got a Belkin Thunderbolt 3 Express Dock for my MacBook, it's working fine there. However, when I plug it into my laptop, I get the following error messages:

This is my uname output:

Linux TH365TUX 5.16.12-zen1-1-zen #1 ZEN SMP PREEMPT Wed, 02 Mar 2022 12:22:53 +0000 x86_64 GNU/Linux

I have tried with the regular kernel too, but does not work. I've also tried updating my BIOS, also did not work. BIOS settings does not seem to contain anything related to Thunderbolt.
The status light on the dock flashes from amber to green back to amber and to green and so on. Also, all connected USB devices are visibly being powered on and off.
I regularly use a Dell TB16 connected to the same laptop, which works totally fine.
The dock worked once out of nowhere, however now it does not seem to work anymore.
I've also tried multiple cables to no avail, also tried disconnecting everything from the dock but still no result.

Re: Belkin Thunderbolt 3 Express dock connecting and disconnecting

Answering my own question because I found the solution. It turned out the dock either did not charge enough or the laptop was not accepting the charge; either way, plugging in the separate charger worked wonders.
