[SOLVED] Only Intel video for DWM (Dynamic Window Manager)

Hello,

Today I installed DWM.
And it's not really working great on my machine.

DWM does only boot with Intel video.

Connecting the HDMI cable to my GPU results in a blinking screen.
Connecting the display port cable results in not booting (system won't go beyond systemd startup text).

After booting to prompt with Intel video, switching cables from the Intel to GPU (with display port) results in the same systemd startup line.

I must say that also with Intel video DWM is not working great. Position of the window is too high (the menu is mostly off screen).
And applications launch bad (they all seem to launch though).

Normally on Arch with the Gnome desktop HDMI is not 100% perfect. Most times screen is working. But not always.
It's working better (and my screen is booting faster) with display port connected (to the GPU of course).

GPU is Nvidia RTX 3080 (for PC) and my monitor is a really slow ASUS 4k PA329.

Oops, very sorry for my dumbness.

This morning I was a bit wrestling with getting DWM running. The missing action till the last moment was installing xorg-xinit.
Just before my awereness I disabled the GDM service.
I was already thinking this service or the lack of the right service had to be the cause. The greeter screen shot on this site made clear to me that GDM could not be a problem for DWM.

Super great that also DRM can be chosen from within the greeter.

How are you starting xorg/dwm? If with startx make sure your xinitrc matches the template noted in the blue box you will also want to install the proprietary driver https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/NVIDIA#Installation if you think you did, post a xorg log and

 sudo journalctl -b
