Blender OpenImageIO version mismatch

When I try to open Blender I get

blender: error while loading shared libraries: libOpenImageIO.so.2.4.5: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I believe this is because openimageio is version 2.4.6 but blender > Links to so-names > libOpenImageIO.so.2.4.5

How do I fix this?

Re: Blender OpenImageIO version mismatch

Correct.

You should file a bug against the blender package on the Arch bugtracker

No, it didn't "fix" anything. It just shifted the brokeness one space to the right. - jasonwryan

Re: Blender OpenImageIO version mismatch

Ok I made https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/76750

In the future is there a way I can fix? It looks like in the history of https://github.com/archlinux/svntogit-c … nder/trunk all they do is bump the pkgrel number to update dependencies. Could I submit a pull request?

Re: Blender OpenImageIO version mismatch

You could just rebuild the package yourself until the devs get a chance to update the version in the repos.
