I'd suggest getting a bigger SSD as that will save you more time and nerves. You can try --root from pacman but not sure if that's just for packages or also installs. Maybe check this https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Mkinit … _partition

I have solved this problem but I will tell you how I did it in case someone else has a similar doubt, I used yay and modified where they have to install and changed the path and now all are installed in /home and as I have the /home partition on my other disk practically everything I install goes to the HDD and not to the SSD, With pacman packages I found no solution and always try to install from the aur if I can.

That doesn't address

put them in the env so that when I type "application-name" in the terminal it opens

and also the entire approach is questionable - you're forcing yourself to maintain all packages yourself,w/o pacman and at best rely on some AUR helper for that.
