Issue with second monitor

I use two screens on my pc and have done so for a couple of years, recently got a raspberry pi for a project I'm working on so used my second monitor for it, today I reconnected the monitor back to my pc, but have been having a couple of issues (Using kde plasma btw). When I first start my pc both screens work fine, after logging in (during splash screen) my second monitor just turns black and isn't usable at all (mouse can't go there nor anything.) After opening Display Configuration I notice that my second monitor is disabled. When I enable it everything is broken... second monitor doesn't work and it's as if I could scroll sideways on my main monitor (as if both monitors are in one) and my mouse doesn't work properly. So I reboot my pc, and my second monitor gets disabled again. Used pacman -Rns to uninstall plasma, nvidia, nvidia-utils, sddm, xorg and other packages I remembered installing when I first installed arch, then reinstalled, but didn't fix the issue.

Edit: I have dual boot with windows, and on windows the screen works perfectly fine as well, so I doubt it's a hardware issue

Re: Issue with second monitor

My money is on the cable.

I assume the Ras-pi was using the monitor via HDMI
Is the Arch box DP? HDMI?   Are you using the same cable.  Are you using the same port on the monitor?  Are there multiple things hooked to the monitor.

I'll double down on the cable.

Re: Issue with second monitor

It's using HDMI, the same I was using before using the pi when everything worked. The raspberry pi has it's own HDMI cable but had no issue with that. Both used the same port on the monitor. Gonna test a different HDMI cable and get back to ya.

Edit: Didn't fix my issue, also edited main post with more info, like the second monitor does work on windows (dual boot). Besides it works on the first log in screen before the splash screen

Re: Issue with second monitor

If it works in SDDM and breaks in the session the issue is likely some bogus config for kscreen.  Try removing .local/share/kscreen outside of the plasma session and then loggin in and checking behaviour.
