Unknown Chipset Error on installation

I'm getting an "Unknown Chipset" Error on installation.

GPU is a 4090.

Is there any workaround?

Upon what are you trying to install Arch?

I want it installed in a dual boot configuration.

System specs:
i9-13900K
RTX 4090
32GB DDR5
Z690

That's a very new system.
Which version of the archlinux installation iso are you using ?

I want it installed in a dual boot configuration.

Dual boot with windows ?
If so, check https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Dual_boot_with_Windows

For clarity :
Are you using the intel integrated gpu as default or  the nvidia card ?

Are you using the intel integrated gpu as default or  the nvidia card ?

@Lukas777: as per Lone_Wolf suggestion, what if you try disabling modesetting?

I'm running into the same problem. I gave up tonight, but tomorrow I'll try the nomodeset suggestion and report back. My specs are very similar, a 7950x and a 4090 GTX. I recall some kind of error from nouveau not recognising the hardware.

Is there any way to boot the text-only installer?

(I also couldn't seem to switch to any other ttys and the system basically seemed to be unresponsive).

nomodeset is "the way to boot to text only" otherwise nouveau tries to initialize pretty framebuffer consoles and fails since it can't handle the HW

Hey, could you find a solution for that? I have exactly the same specs as you and facing the same problem.

I have the exact same CPU, GPU and CHipset setup. Even using the newest arch 2023-03 setup iso and got the same error.

I fixed it by deactivating the integrated graphics in the BIOS.
