Route qemu thru tor?

I know whonix exists but it takes too much RAM.
I'd like to run tor on the host machine and have a virtual machine under Qemu have all its traffic redirected thru tor by the host. It seems that it can be done by creating a virtual interface, but the only example I could find if for Debian with its unique /etc/network/interfaces. So I'm wondering if there's any solution for Arch?

You could use Tails? https://tails.boum.org/
