Something went weird with pacman [SOLVED]

I noticed that pacman was saying my system was up-to-date, but I knew for a fact it was not. I  entered the -Syyu to update the mirror list, and some packages where updated. Later I noticed that Firefox was not updated, so I pass the -Syu command. No packages were listed as available to update, and the packages that were updated with the -Syuu command are now being listed with the warning they are newer than community. I am not sure what happened, or how to resolve it.

-----

Just learned about reflector from reading the /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist . My mirror list now has synchronized servers listed, which allowed a system update.

Please don't use [closed], as this usually denotes a topic locked by the mod team from further replies. Use e.g. [solved] instead.

Re: Something went weird with pacman [SOLVED]

-Syyu does not update your mirror list and the second y should generally be avoided.
