protonvpn is only a(n empty) metapackage; it seems to be intended as a shortcut for users of AUR helpers that automatically install dependencies from the AUR. You can just build one (or both) of the "real" packages listed as dependencies: protonvpn-cli or -gui

For future posts, please use code tags (BBCode) for commands and output. And it looks like you started writing your message in the "Subject" field and only moved on to the actual "Message" area when you ran into the maximum line length. That's kinda weird.
