Arch installation. Few quick questions

Hi,
I am new here and planning to use Arch.
I want to switch distro on my laptop HP Pavilion 5000t. Currently running  suse 10.1

Before installing Arch I would like to ask few questions:
1) does anyone have installed Arch on HP 5000t or similar hardware:
Dual Core T2500, 1GB RAM, SATA (intel controler SCSI_ATA_PIIX), nvidia Go 7400 , sound intel snd-hda, wireless ipw3945. If so how well Arch performs (with KDE installed) in terms of boot time, memory footprint (boot time and memory footprimnt are important on laptop)?
2) how well Arch handles mobile networks (in my case 4x vpn and 3x WPA,
currently I am using networkmanager/knetworkmanager and kvpnc)?
3) my current disk setup:
/boot ext2
/ xfs
/home xfs
I wish to keep ext2 and xfs. Will this work with Arch?
4) I prefer to run grsec or RSBAC kernels. Will Arch handle well hardened kernels?

I have a little experience with Unix. First was vax, then in 95' FreeBSD, then OpenBSD 2.0 in 96' and my first linux was RH in 97'. I don't need graphical tools to configure stuff, but I would like to know if it is feasible to configure with the above in mind?

Thank you for your time

Re: Arch installation. Few quick questions

I'm running ArchLinux on a HP Pavilian dv5000. I don't know how they compare?

similar hardware:
Dual Core, 1GB RAM, SATA , different video (Mobile Intel 945GM Express Chipset) I haven't used the wireless...

Using kde, beryl

It's running great and fast for me.  I'm new to linux, so couldn't answer your other questions.

It was a brease to install ArchLinux on it, everything I'm using worked out of the box, except 1280x800. I had to install 915resolution (I think) and it works great. (again, I haven't used the wireless)

Re: Arch installation. Few quick questions

thanks stingray.
It looks like this is identical setup with exception of video.

How much time it takes to boot your system from grub to GUI?
Have you ever run bootchart?

thanks again

Nope, I've never used bootchart, I'll try it soon...

Using my watch, 45 seconds from grub to kdm login screen.  First time I've timed it...
