Mouse pointer delayed after suspend + waking up question

Arch Xfce4 here, AMD mesa GPU drivers on AMD machine. It is set for a system to suspend after Power button press. After several seconds, the system goes into sleep mode. All is well.

However two issues emerge:

1. I cannot wake the machine with keyboard or a mouse. Both are USB connected. In BIOS it's explicitly set to wake up after suspend using BIOS parameters and USB device. It works under W11 (with a mouse) but it's completely not working in Linux. Instead, I have to press the Power button again on the machine. I tried with OS parameter in BIOS, but that doesn't work either. Any suggestion where to look to fix this?

2. The system wakes up relatively fast, the screen is booted almost immediately, but mouse pointer and keyboards are delayed, to the point of looking like system froze. Eventually, after several seconds, it returns to fully working order.

Since I cannot sip coffee to my machine to wake up fast, is there a way to 'prioritize' waking up order? I'd prefer to have mouse and keyboard be responsive immediately. I also don't remember Linux ever behaving like this in the past. Usually when screen boots up and there's a desktop shown, both mouse and keyboard are there.

Thanks.
