Setting a keybinding or a key to run a specific command

I want to set it so a keybinding or a single key executes a particular command. For example, Ctrl + u runs "alacritty -e yay -Syu".

Re: Setting a keybinding or a key to run a specific command

Desktop environment? Window manager?
If we don't know what you are using, how can we provide you a solution?

I think desktop environments have a configuration section to set keybindings.
And for window managers, you need to create the keybinding in the wm configuration file.

Didn't you search the internet or the wiki if there's a solution?
