[SOLVED]Cat killed my terminal session

Ok, sounds funny. My sons cat walked over my keyboard, and somehow turned it off. He stepped somewhere around the Ins/Del/Home/End keys. In the terminal a vim process is running with my lesson plan. I don't want to kill the process (I know, there is a swp, but I'm curious os the solution), and on another page the keyboard works, so it must be an xfce4-terminal phenomen. How to turn the kb on? DDG didn't give any useful...

Sounds like he hit Ctrl+S. Try Ctrl+Q.
