usb 3.0 to vga adapter not working

Hello, I bought a usb 3.0 to vga adapter, and I followed the steps on the wiki using evdi-git and displaylink, I followed the wiki step by step, however when using xrandr --listproviders the other output does not appear.
I am using kernel version 6.1.7-zen-1-zen

PD: the adapter works because i tried it on windows.

thanks in advance

Re: usb 3.0 to vga adapter not working

dkms status

If that shows an evdi module for your current kernel

sudo journalctl -b | curl -F 'file=@-' 0x0.st

Otherwise you probably forgot to install the kernel headers.

Re: usb 3.0 to vga adapter not working

Was the journal you previously linke supposed to cover a boot w/ a displaylink output attached?
What's the output of "lsusb" (when it's attached)?
Also please post your xorg log, https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Xorg#General
