I installed the proprietary version of Vscode, because I feared that the open-source alternatives won't have the extension market place which is the only reason I want Vscode. However, after installing the commands and dmenu recognizing code as a command, It doesn't pop up anything.
I don't really know, but maybe it's because I'm usually running root? Like, I start my graphical environment as root and I try to launch it as root.
Thanks in advance!

@FordArthur
Did you read the wiki and the AUR web page of the package?

I did read the wiki on making packages, and followed a couple tutorials on specifically installing Vscode, however I haven't read the AUR web page of the packet, why?

So-called "tutorials", especially those on youtube, may be misleading rather than helpful.
But these two links in Arch are useful read:
https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Visual_Studio_Code
https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/visu … o-code-bin

What for? That's plain insanity, and yes chromium/electron and friends refuse to start as root because it's insane.

Didn't add a regular user until I had to make the package for it. Also, if I launch it from my regular user terminal it still doesn't pop up anything.
Although I'll try to start everything from my regular user and see if it helps.
Thanks all for the help!
