Just wanted to alert anyone else that uses thunderbird to fetch their Microsoft Office 365 mail, this problem that just started for me today after an update to thunderbird to version 102.7.0. The authentication fails repeatedly. The upstream developers are aware of this problem:
Important: Thunderbird 102.7.0 And Microsoft 365 Enterprise Users
the solution that worked for me was to downgrade to version 102.6.1:
# cd /var/cache/pacman/pkg/
# pacman -U thunderbird-102.6.1-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst

I may also add, putting this in your /etc/pacman.conf will ignore the thunderbird upgrade so you don't have to repeatedly downgrade thunderbird whenever you upgrade the system:
IgnorePkg = thunderbird
Just remember to remove it once the thunderbird team has fixed the issue.

Of course, it could break at any time doing that. Partial updates and all of that.

I ran into exactly the same problem, but it seems to be intermittent; i.e. after trying 4-5 times it did eventually authenticate me. At least I think it did. I immediately started dealing with another issue the upgrade caused (laggy, unresponsive mouse).

As of writing the Arch package (https://archlinux.org/packages/extra/x8 … underbird/) has been updated to 102.7.1 but my mirror hasn't sync'd it yet. But it looks like the problem has been fixed in that update.

The problem was already fixed in 107.2.0-2 for a while.

I have 102.7.0-1 and `pacman -Syu` is not picking up that there's an update available - is there a way to force it to grab 102.7.1 from the repo?
EDIT: it was indeed my mirror being out of date. I changed the first mirror in /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist and got the update.
