hello,
so i have nvidia gt 740m gpu and i want to install and run it in archlinux like run games and use it as primary for my desktop(using KDE desktop enviroment)
so i kinda have no idea how i followed the instruction in this link: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/NVIDIA but idk it didnt work or i messedup or because its outdated if it works tell me so i redo the work perfectly this time if its outdated anyone can tell me how to install it

phrases like "it didn't work" without anything else are pretty useless. The nvidia wiki page is fine, everything is there. Make sure you're installing the correct driver for you card, that one is old enough it may require an lts release.

"it didnt work" i mean by that is causes failed to mount /boot and kernal error i installed the correct driver if its good than i will walkthrought it again thnx but what lts release u mean from the nvidia site or what?

errors mounting /boot have nothing to do with nvidia.
I mean the older releases that nvidia is still supporting, such as the 470 series. What did you install?

ik it have nothing but it broke it idk i fix it nvm i learn how to fix now there is a sheet to check the supporting driver in nvidia archwiki installation if u mean that here: https://nouveau.freedesktop.org/CodeNames.html my driver is kepler and need nvidia-470xx-dkms is that what u mean
