GPU screen recorder doesn't capture audio

I installed gpu-screen-recorder yesterday, along with gtk version from the aur repository, but whatever audio source I add it doesn't capture any sound. I use Nvidia GTX 1650 Super with proprietary drivers. Is this fault of the gpu?

Re: GPU screen recorder doesn't capture audio

If you want to capture game audio you'd pick a monitor source not about to install nvidia-utils to test this, can you link to a screenshot of your available options?

Re: GPU screen recorder doesn't capture audio

Pick the monitor of the card your game audio comes out of. If you don't use HDMI for the speaker capabilities you probably rather want the Monitor of your starship matisse. and make sure it isn't muted. Output of

pactl list sources
pactl list source-outputs

during an attempted recording?

Re: GPU screen recorder doesn't capture audio

Okay I have no idea what this means, but here's the thing - I tested out non gtk version and the audio was recorded, so I guess maybe gtk version has some bugs. From now on I will just try to use the non-gtk terminal version. Thank you for the help though, I appreciate it!

Each audio is in its own audio track in the video, which is why you dont hear the other audio inputs unless you switch to them. gpu screen recorder gtk has been updated now to have an option (that is enabled by default) to only use 1 audio track.
There is now also an option to select the "default output", so you dont have to know the name of the audio device that you are using.
