On taskbar when I open networks there is Wifi connection informatmion - this is what I use
and icon that suggest that I have Ethernet cable connected. And I'm not.
I noticed that yesterday.
I don't remember changing anything in my system for a long time.

I love archlinux: the last STABLE kernel release + the last STABLE DE release + the last STABLE apps releases. The upstream developers decide what is STABLE.
