bcm43142 wireless adapter not working after upgrade to Ubuntu 22.04.1

Hello,
I have tried to troubleshoot this through many forums but the main problem I have is the laptop has no network, it's a netbook so no ethernet option and I can't get my phone to tether for any type of network connection. This makes it hard to provide output of commands other than a screenshot from phone! I also can't really get any packages this way as most forums direct you to do.

I have determined a couple of things:
rmmod: ERROR: Module wl is not currently loaded

This is output from lspci -k well an excerpt:
Kernel modules: i2c_i801
02:00.0 Network controller: Broadcom Inc. and subsidiaries BCM43142 802.11b/g/r
(rev 01)
Subsystem: Lite-On Communications Inc BCM43142 802.11b/g/n 03:00.0 Unassigned class [ff00]: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTS5229 PCI Ex
ress Card Reader (rev 01)
Subsystem: Toshiba Corporation RTS5229 PCI Express Card Reader Kernel driver in use: rtsx_pci
Kernel modules: rtsx_pci

I think something needs to happen with the driver or the kernel but not sure what to do w/o internet to help

This laptop is an island....
