glibc, X Server and NVIDIA problem after system upgrade

I have run in to a new problem starting my computer after a system updates. The X Server will not start. After some painstaking troubleshooting by downgrading all updates to previous versions and incrementally adding the updates again and restarting the machine, I have narrowed down the culprit to glibc and lib32-glibc (they need to be upgraded together). The new version -2.37-2 brakes the X server on my system, if it is downgraded to -2.36-7 it works again. I don't understand the connection with the GNU C Library and X11 and XFCE, anyhow, this is a transcript of TTY1 when I try to start XFCE (I do not use a display-manager):

If I try to start the X Server with the command "startx", I get the same error. I can still use the TTY1 screen to type commands, but the keyboard input does not echo to she screen, like typing in the blind. Now, if this happened to me, there sure will be others that has run in to this problem and easily (sic!) fixed the problem. This is my machine in a snapshot:

For now I can probably get by by blocking updates of glib and lib32-glib, but it will eventually catch up with me
