I have recently reinstalled arch and installed the driver nvidia which is the correct package for my gpu and it still seems laggy on my primary monitor but less laggy on my secondary monitor, I think that it is only working on the secondary one any tips?

Please post your Xorg log, https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Xorg#General and also "loginctl session-status" and quantify "seems laggy"

Suspend the compositor (SHIFT+alt+F12) and see what happens.
