Hi there
Have some issues with my Audio / Video and would love some advice and help to fix them.
Firefox/Chromium on Youtube / 9gag etc, videos start to play then the video part freezes and the audio is playing as it should. Sometimes it restores the video portion for a sec or two and then freezes.
MPV: plays Audio fine but image is frozen
VLC: plays Video fine but the audio is crackling/stutters hard / unusable
Spotify Aur / Web versions are fine
Teams fine even screen cast receiving worked flawlessly today
PC over RDP - everything is fine (receiving sound on my host from remote machine)
VFIO VM with Looking-Glass Audio is fine from Output and everything else there works as it should.
So just some apps (major issue Firefox/Chromium) are not working as they should...
inxi -Aa
sudo fuser -v /dev/snd/*
pactl list sinks
Other info that might help:
Kernel: 6.1.12-arch1-1 & updated + rebooted
AMD Ryzen 9 7950X
AMD ATI Raphael (host: iGPU)
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti (bound to vfio, but nv driver is still installed for the prior 1060 used on host)
KDE 5.27.1
stopping systemctl --user stop pipewire-pulse.socket pipewire-pulse.service
resolves firefox issues on video playback and journalctl shows pipewire-pulse[3422]: mod.protocol-pulse: client 0x5628958ff310 [Firefox]: ERROR command:-1 (invalid) tag:2 error:25 (Input/output error)
seems like an update broke something :S
But not solving mpv video freezes tho and no pw-pulse no audio...
And downgrading did not help (downgraded from 0.3.66 to .65)

Reinstall and resetup of the pc fixed the issue, exported the packages/aur installed on the old install and compared to the new install.
There is change, but could not find out which package has issues / created that issue in the first place.
