Starting XFCE4 session with xwayland

I have installed xwayland because some packages require wayland even when I don't. I try to start then XFCE4 on this server, but in LightDM don't show up any. As the wiki said, LightDM is not compatible with Wayland, so I think of using another DM. Am I right? Or is there any way to start an xwayland session from LightDM?

Re: Starting XFCE4 session with xwayland

You don't start xwayland sessions and xfce4 currently doesn't have any wayland support. So in effect you are asking the wrong question. XFCE4 is always going to be a full xorg session currently.

That it doesn't show up in lightdm will likely because you didn't install https://archlinux.org/packages/extra/x8 … 4-session/ in which case I wonder what exactly you installed.

I have a full xfce4 install, with xfce4-session. I tried to run XFCE over wwayland, using the xwayland server. So I thought it wrong. thanks.
