My laptop which is a Lenovo IdeaPad 5 14ARE05 running Arch Linux with 6.1.13-1-lts, has been suffering from an issue where is simply doesn't want to wake up from sleep. The screen turns completely black while keyboard light stays on, but nothing (that I have tried) wakes it up, such as pressing all the key, plugging it in with a power source, etc. I was thinking of updating my bios as I heard it could be a solution to other people when running Linux on their laptops.

In the Wiki is a device site: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Lenovo … _5_14ARE05

So looked into updating my BIOS with fwupd (or since I use gnome, gnome-fireware), but after doing so the problem still persists. Would there anyway for me to check the logs of what happened before I was forced to do a hard power-off?

Maybe this post is related? I recently experienced something similar to what you are describing on Lenovo Z500, and adding that kernel parameter mentioned in post solved my issue.
