Move away /home/fabien/.config/QtProject.conf … and maybe post the file for inspection if it's the cause.

That's it. Thank you.

The file. What's exactly the function of this .conf? Will its removal make Qt apps unstable?

It's Qt's global config file, plaintext, holds the config for eg. the file dialog (last folder etc) and colors and mine is 2320 bytes in 31 lines.
512MB is ridiculous - sorry that I made you upload that.
But parsing whatever is in there will of course keep the system busy for a while.
Please always remember to mark resolved threads by editing your initial posts subject - so others will know that there's no task left, but maybe a solution to find.
Thanks.
Edit: there's some massive binary junk in the "shortcuts" key (left side of the dialog window) which looks like some UTF-8 decoding went really off rails
