I did a performance test with https://browserbench.org/Speedometer2.1/.
They have the same GPU config.
Google Chrome: 220 ± 7.9
Chromium: 195 ± 5.1
Why is Google Chrome faster than Chromium? Can anyone test if it is the same on their machine?

I would imagine it's because of what optimizations they are built with.
I use Windows on the desktop and use a build of ungoogled-chromium that's built with PGO, LTO and AVX2. Using the benchmarks on https://browserbench.org/ it's faster than Chrome, a little faster than Edge and miles faster than regular Chromium builds.
Obviously if you want the best performance you would build it with PGO/LTO and native CPU flags but the build process is so huge and time consuming it's not worth it IMO, I stopped doing my own native builds of Chromium over 5 years ago.
