TLP system Startup/shutdown on installing updates

From some time whenever I do `pacman -Syu` it downloads, updates packages and then Logs me out? I really don't remember what changes I made which may cause it but since I have loglevel=3 in my kernel command line argument. I can see `TLP system Startup/Shutdown` and then I am into sddm login menu. It doesn't reboots, it's only logging me out.


Do experiment at-least.

The only thing I can think for right now is that I had recently started using an unofficial repository(alpha.go which gives compiled packages with some optimisations) for packages

I'm getting the same crashes and I could reliably replicate it with

pacman -S tlp

Of which I think it's the udev-reload.hook that causes the crash itself.

Sadly I don't remember what upgrade was it exactly, I tried rolling back systemd but it didn't fix it.

Basically https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/77789 .. you'd have to rollback systemd to systemd 253-1 to not have that logic being triggered.

I've rolled back to 253-1 and it fixed the crashing, thanks!

The linked task sounds like the trigger's gonna stay. Does that mean that we should check with Xorg if that's a bug on their side?

(from what I saw in /var/log/Xorg.0.log, it seemed like it crashed after removing the trackpoint and I also have a custom udev rule on it but removing the udev rule didn't fix the crashing)

I truly think this change should be reverted there are so many side effects from using it. It was a fix for a one time transitional issue and leads to a whole bunch of potential issues. FWIW I haven't had xorg crashes after the fix in 235.3 but anyway
