It's bait though, they don't answer to that anymore.
On the actual account I wanted to have deleted/personal information removed, I sent a mail months ago and I've only got the automated GitLab Support Bot response that told me "Thank you for your support request! We are tracking your request as ticket #X, and will respond as soon as we can." and nothing else since.
Would definitely be way too much of a hassle and efficient to just allow users to do it themselves !

What? It is up to you to remove any information. The only thing a mod / admin would do is lock the account so you can no longer log in. You could use the "report" button to ask an admin to do this. But as for removing information, just go to your account profile and remove any personal information you provided.
