Hello,
My bluetooth headphones stopped working a month or two ago.
The proximate cause seems to be that the bluetooth controller is not available:
bluetoothctl power on
No default controller available
Digging a bit, I see this line in the logs:
Bluetooth: hci0: Reading QCA version information failed (-110)
Hardware: (Dell XPS)
lspci -nnk
04:00.0 Network controller [0280]: Qualcomm Technologies, Inc QCA6390 Wireless Network Adapter [17cb:1101] (rev 01)
Subsystem: Rivet Networks Device [1a56:a501]
Kernel driver in use: ath11k_pci
Kernel modules: ath11k_pci
lsmod | grep -i blue
bluetooth 1077248 17 btrtl,btmtk,btqca,btintel,hci_uart,btbcm,bnep,btusb
ecdh_generic 16384 1 bluetooth
rfkill 40960 5 bluetooth,dell_laptop,cfg80211
crc16 16384 2 bluetooth,ext4
lsmod | grep -i ath11k

cfg80211 1277952 2 ath11k,mac80211
mhi 114688 2 ath11k_pci,qrtr_mhi
I've tried removing and reloading all bluetooth related modules, but to no avail.
Note that the QCA6390 is a Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 Wireless SoC. I have no problem with the wifi. The problem with the bluetooth occurs independently of the use of wifi.
I'd welcome any suggestion, thank you.

The answer to the question I asked is probably the same as the one for
Bluetoothctl not detecting any bluetooth controllers
